fqpissed WIN 98 SE can't find my CD-ROM

HI GUYS.
i have a TOSHIBA laptop.
sometimes when i turn it on windows can find my CD-Rom and
Sometimes it can't find my CD-Rom.and i must put A CD in
CD-ROM and RESTART my computer till windows can find my
CD-ROM.WHAT's PROBLEM?

May you check the settings in the bios - as far I know Toshiba laptops are using a interexchangeable CDROM with the Floppy - right? so check that the CDROM is pressed into the slot FIRM - may you look at the connectors - and clean them out..
