Dumb keyboard buffer question

This may be dumb but ...
I was just typing in an account number on a secure web page, except I had not clicked in the input field so nothing appeared, of course.
Are there any vulnerabilities doing this lays me open to. Obviously a keyboard sniffer program would capture what I type here, but I just wondered where my account number went and if it is now somewhere in the swap file or whatever.
I'm not worried, but I don't know, so I'd be grateful if someone would enlighten me.
