Ie 6
I installed XP pro upgrade from 2000 pro. IE 6 installed with the upgrade. I seem to be having trouble viewing menues on certain web pages. Web pages with menues down the left side, for example. I run Zone Alarm Pro. I tried every setting possible (i think) within ZA with no improvement. I practically disable the program, security setting on low or off, pop up add protection off and putting sites in my trusted zone. I down loaded all the crititacl upgrades that poped up after the XP install. I then uninstalled ZA and the problem remained. My wife's computer running Win98 with IE 5 and ZA opens the sites no problem.
I am wondering if anybody has any ideas other than to use the wife's computer, hehe. Thanks and I appreciate the help - nate99z. |

You need to change PRIVACY settings in IE 6.!! to low.. this will correct your problems -- it isn't ZA here wich will not display - to gain access to it you have to have administrator rights - then IE >TOOLS >INTERNET OPTIONS > SECURITY and also PRIVACY

Yep. Change the PRIVACY settings (TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > PRIVACY). I set mine using:
- ADVANCED - checked OVERIDE AUTOMATIC COOKIE HANDLING - checked First Party Cookies ACCEPT - checked Third Party Cookies BLOCK which has eliminated the can't display page errors. You may have to lower the Zone Alarm Pro settings also, but try the IE settings first. |
