Vegas video three download

I wish to download a software program known as Vegas video three for video editing. Will I be able to back up the software to a CDR or should I insist on the CD-ROM version? If so is there any trick to backing it up?

Sonic Foundry's Vegas Video 3 is available as a demo download here.

Vegas Video is not a consumer level editor -- it is meant for the lower end professional market. For most consumer needs, Sonic Foundry has Video Factory 2. It's much more cost cost effective for most people's pocket's ($450 for Vegas Video or $60 for Video Factory) and Video Factory is quite powerful.
