network printer in winxp

The family network consists of three computers. One Quantex running win98se, one hybrid running win98se, and a new HP running winxp. This is my first exposure to xp and I'm not at all sure about the new looks. The HP is the computer with the printer on it. My question is, how do i make the HP Photosmart 1000 on the new HP computer with xp, the network printer?

Send a message via ICQ to cobra Send a message via AIM to cobra
you have to have file and printer sharing enabled,
then share the printer and print away

Yep, then just open Network Neighborhood on the 98 boxes, browse to the shared printer, right click on it and select Install. You may be asked for the printer CD - or you may be told to install it as a local printer first then add a network port - you would just browse to it in the add port dialog if this is the case.

I think I'm gonna need a step by step for setting up the network on the xp box, I don't seem to be able to get it right.
