WinXP Home

Dear all,

once i can make my XpHome needed only 3 times —what do you call the green thing in the middle moving to the right— it used to have 5~7 times.

But i don't know something had come up and create an error so my Intel P!!!733, needed to be reinstalled.

And then it gets 7~almost 8.

I remembered it was services that i configured, but i'm damn stupid didn't jot it down.

Any idea, what services i can possibly disable if i only have a Privat PC and for Home using only.

Thx.

Thanks,

Jim

Well,
you know XP has features called services as they're also available in the NT versions.

Those services run by default and could possibly reduce/waste my time to log into XP.

In order to get faster loading, once i could configure the services and have my XPhome, loading faster then before, took only 3 green-slides, it's blue-slides for Professional.

Too bad my XP crash because of networking failure before i have time to write down the configuration. I've been trying to find out, and wasting my two days without nothing.

Now, i'm asking you guys, whether you know any of the services that i could possibly disable in order to get my XP load faster again.

That's it.
I'm just curious. If it was Ok yesterday, why it isn't now?

Oh right, sorry I didn't understand first time, thanks for the reply

You could try the Microsoft Program bootvis.exe available from the Microsoft website

Or there is a list of services and which can be disabled here
