I don't know how, but accidently I deleted my whole MY DOCUMENTS folder into the recycle bin. It was too big so the recycle bin offered me to permanently delete it, and I agreed. (I thought I had copied it to another drive)
But I didn't copy the files I need. The recycle bin is empty now, and I know there should exist some utility that can recover files deleted in recycle bin. Do you know what it is? how can I recover my files? This sucks so much guys.

if you have xp chose a system restore date prior to the deletion, this should restore the files. Go to start/accessories/sytem tools/system restore.
Good luck |

Windows ME should do it too. If not, hunt down a retrieval program such as Lost and Found.

Yes there is a way provided the clusters the information was on were not taken by another application or files. You see when you empty the recycle bin it leaves these clusters on your harddrive unprotected. I suggest you do not save or run any other applications on this computer until you get a copy of Norton Utilities Unerase.
Good luck. |
