Win 2k drops connections to networked services
My network of 30 or so machines drops connections to mapped drives and other resources like print servers on a regular basis. It means that I either have to go around clearing red crosses from MY COMPUTER all the time or deleting and re-creating printer mappings through MY NETWORK PLACES or at the command prompt to print from DOS applications. Is there a fix for this ? My Win 2k server is on sp2 as are the pro workstations, my network is a combination of 10 and 100mb/s links restricted only by a few remaining 10mb NICs. However the problem is not restricted to these slower NICs. I have heard of a fix for this in win 98 is there one for win 2k?
