RAID controller problems

Back when I tried to setup Win2K on this PC, it never recognized my hard-drive when it was attached to one of the RAID channels(with them set to IDE in BIOS). So I left it on the Secondary channel, with both my CD-ROMs on the primary channel.

However, I'm thinking about trying to put a second identical drive in my PC for a RAID 0 setup, but that means another re-format...

The problem in Win2K setup is that when I push f8 (or whatever key to load different drivers) it asks fro a manufactured supplied hardware disk. I don't think it ment the MB CD with the RAID drivers? I want to be sure before I possibly mess-up my PC....

Any thoughts on getting the RAID to work with Mandarke 8.0 or 8.2?

Logan

Yup, that should be what it's looking for, the motherboard CD. Just point it to the right directory. If you want, you can check with the motherboard manufacturer to see if they have updated drivers and give it the new ones right off the bat.

I've never setup RAID in Mandrake, so I couldn't give you details, but I would imagine it may be similar if your RAID controller isn't supported natively.
