Is it an upgrade or a full version ?

As far as I know you can't upgrade with the full version, you need to wipe off the hard drive first. This is recommendable anyway.

Thanks RJ, that is what I'm going to do. I just wanted to check to see all my components were compatible.

You mean the components in your signature ?

Should be no problem for Windows XP.

He may see a stability improvement, but most likely a performance loss.

Thanks HAL9000, I'll tell him, he'll probably leave it alone till he upgrades.
