Virus Scanner causing Reboot

Oh these boys of mine . Am doing the weekly cleanup & maintenance routine. When I start any of the virus programs on their pc it reboots. Am using AVG and SwatIt. Done the usual but something may have snuck in and won't let the programs run (like a virus maybe?). At a loss.

Sarge,
Instead of using your system's virus scanner, turn them off and go scan with one of the online scanners?
Worth a try.

Works, Carl. Good idea and it's clean per House Call.
