XP Multi use

Did Microsoft ever offer home users the oppurtunity to purchase a multi-user license for XP (for less than five computers)?

Don't think so. I haven't heard of anything like that. If you want to install XP on more than one computer, you have to buy a copy of XP for each one.

That's what I figured. I had seen an article about possibly offering this but never heard anything else about it.

Thanks

On introduction, they had a deal where you get your first copy at the regular price, then you could buy subsequent copies for $10 less.... big deal

You can still buy additional licenses for the price Hal mentioned. But as far as I have seen the are only for full version retail copies. So about $289 for XP Pro! Not exactly a smoking deal.

No I didn't.....I'm a member of the Microsoft Developers Assoc(?) and I got my six copiesof Pro for $39 a disc, including a bunch of freebie M$ junk. I posted it here some time back when they made the offer open to the public but I don't remember anyone commenting.

Search back for my post and check it out, but I think the offer has expired. But who knows they may have extended it. I'll look for the link and post it if I find it.

You have to sign up at the MS partners site... Once you click to order, it'll take you where you need to go in order to sign up!
