What worked for my install of ME: Completely finished install of ME and then plugged in my HP4100C (USB) and ME recognized it and loaded it's OWN software. No third party (HP) software was needed. Now all I do is put the picture in the scanner and start the Scanner and Camera software included with ME and all works fine. Try uninstalling the scanner and reinstalling with the ME software.

Question

What always helps on this forum is giving everyone as much information as possible about your system and the hardware you are trying to install. Also, did you do an upgrade or a clean install? and is the dll file missing or misplaced?
