How to get rid of middle frame in explorer on win2k?

Hi, I'm new to win2k, In explorer there is a new middle column that is wasted space and I want to get rid of it. It has a picture and the size of the partition etc that I am exploring. I can drag the files list to the left, but this inner window keeeps coming back. Is there a way to get rid of it?

thanx

Tools, folder options, general, web view, use windows classic folders. Then on the View tab, hit "like current folder".
