Registry File entry question
Hello all. I just did a fresh install of W2K a few weeks ago.
Nothing has been added on so far. No program no nothing. Just surfing the net. I was wondering what is the string 'POINTER' came along with W2K? Or was it something I picked along the way? If I deleted it (but export a copy to a directory before I do) how can I retrieve it if it doesn't let me back into windows? Is it a good idea to delete? I've deleted things before in 98se and know to be carefull and locate the programs but I have never heard of POINTER before. |

It could be something as simple as your mouse pointer. I have seen some fax services that will run with that name. Where does it say it is running from?
