Smile How do I close Uninstall Shield ???

I am using Windows 2000 on a net-worked computer. I am one of the users. I installed Adobe Photo Deluxe on my hard drive as "administrator". The program works fine there. But, when I log on under my name and password - I CAN'T ACCESS THE PROGRAM !!! I tried to re-install the CD under my name and password, but I get the error message:

"Setup has detected that Uninstall Shield is in use. Please close Uninstall Shield and restart set up." Error 432.

What does this mean ??? How do I close Uninstall Shield ??? How do I restart set-up ??? How do I get the program to respond under my user name and password ???

Please help.

Thank you.

Hit ctrl/alt/del and open task manager - and look in the process list. If there are any processes with an underscore at the front (example - _isdel or _setup) terminate them.

To run the program, have you tried running the executable directly from Windows Explorer? Are you at least a power user?
