ugh.. my computer

OK, ever since I built this thing it's been unstable. Crashes a lot, sometimes windows doesn't load (jams before it loads). This is the PC in my sig.

Anyway, I installed another 40 gig hard drive in it today. Here's how it looks:

Primary:
1 40gig (windows)
1 40gig (linux, soon)

Secondary

1 DVD-ROM
1 Plextor

Raid-1

1 15gig hard drive (backup)

Now, when I first put the new hard drive in and booted up, It locked before I saw the windows loading screen. The second time, I got past the loading screen, and right when my desktop is suppose to load, it locks up. All I see is a black screen. third and fourth time I try, same thing. Fifth time, I got into windows. woohoo.

I rearanged my drive letters, then I pluged the speakers into my sound card and it locked up. I restarted, and it jammed right before my desktop it suppose to load. I restarted again, it locked up right after it detected my processor. I shut the thing off for a minute, turned it back on, and windows loads, and here I am now.

I kinda ruled out heat as an issue, I have 2 80mm fans blowing on all 3 hard drives, all my cables are out of the way, I have an exaust fan, and stock AMD heatsink/fan. My temps are about 45c idle, 55 full load.

It also depends on HOW i turn the thing on. If I restart from windows, or hit the reset button, almost 100% guarentee I won't get into windows. If the PC is off, and I hit the button, it'll most likely load.

I'm looking at the power supply right now.. could be ram? I don't know.

Have you tried reseating the RAM to make sure its in right? If you have more than one stick of RAM installed, try using just one stick at a time and see if it will work with one but not the other. This would weed out whether you have a bad stick of RAM or not. Other than that I can't think of anything.

Can you boot into safe mode and run it without problems?
