The file ******* was not copied correctly

After no end of other problems i thought my new build was finally sorted but now whenever i try to install XP on my new build i get TITLE messege.
It is diaplayed after formatting and after XP has "copied files to your computer" before the main installation.

Ive triewd several different occasions and different files have failed to copy.
My first thought was that the CD was dirty so i checked it gave ita wipe with a soft cloth took another look checking for major scratches and there was none.
So im perplexed as to whats coursing this problem.

Also if there is a problem with this CD is it possible to get a replacement or do i get screwed by Microsoft???

Thnx all

I would also check the CDROM That could be dirty or may have some problems with it as well.

I have run across that while using a backup CD, so it's either a bad disk, or the CD-Rom is dirty or failing.

If the CD is failing what can i do to get a replacement?? do i have to go buy another box cos i dont like the thought of that and nor does my bank balance (

If it does it again after you clean or trade out the CDROM I would try getting ahold of Microsoft, and see if they will give you a new one, What do you got to lose
