mouse
Im using a compact EVo N 1000v and the problem is that i tried to plug the ps2 mouse into it and try to use it. But the mouse would not work. So i installed the driver and after the next reboot, my mouse and my keyboard did not response including the touch pad. Im using WinXp.
My specs. Pentium 4 2Ghz 256 Ram ATI Radeon 7500 and the mouse i tried to install is a Genius MOuse Mate 98. Netscroll. |

Is it in the right plug and not the keyboard plug... Well your typing so I quess not.
1. Is the mouse only for usb? 2. Try a diff mouse for your ps2 port. |

well i just checked it and it is correct.. its either the keyboard or the mouse slot.. normally when you connect a new hardware on WinXP it will automatic detect it.. but it didnt. so i did a search on hardware but it didnt find any new hardware install. then i install the genius driver and reboot, the keyboard and the mouse couldnt move.. i had to use the restore option to restore back my previous usable conditon..

Try a ps2 to usb connection and see if it works under usp, or just try a usb mouse.
