I made my OS partition too small (C drive). How do I change the size of my paritions, is it even possible?

yank918, if I made that mistake I would start over from scratch. Totally repartition. You may be able to change partition size with out sacrificing data and installations, and basically keep the integrity intact, but I don't know of such a way.

Maybe one of those great programs like oem_guy was talking about can do it. But I assume you noticed this mistake soon after doing it (how can you not), so you shouldn't have too much stuff installed, right? Just repartition.

can I repartition from within the OS itself, or do I have to reinstall my OS and everything?

If you want to repartition without losing data or reinstalling anything, you need a program like Partition Magic. Otherwise, you will lose it all. In that case, you can try reinstalling the OS if it gives you the chance to partition during install, or else you can run FDISK from a boot disk. What OS are you using?

Partition Magic will do it. But back up your data just in case. As was suggested if you aren't too far along you might consider redoing your install.
Read the instructions and the read me file carefully for Partition Magic. You will need version 7.0 or newer. If there is newer. Changing drive geometry after your OS is installed is not the best idea but most of the time it does work. If you are using any drive overlay programs you can't use Partition Magic and successfully reboot. Your data will still be there but you won't be able to access it.

I made the same mistake, and used Partition Magic to expand the partition that XP Pro is in and it worked fine. I would suggest having your PC on a UPS when you do this, Murphies law you know. PM 7.0 supports XP.
