Please help

Hi everyone,

I am using Xp with IE 6.0 as my default browser, and when ever I try to download any files from internet I get a plugin( square box on the left hand corner of my desktop with a small logo in it) logo and it stays there any it never allow to continue any further. I tried with all sites and tried reinstalling IE still no result Please help me.

What exactly is a plugin logo? What does the logo look like? Are you using a firewall?

Let me guess. A downloading program of some sort, or a trojan. I know of one that makes IE assume every link is to open a new program, which reruns the initial virus/trojan program, thus insuring continued problems.
