dividing files

Hello!

I have a couple of pretty big files (movies), can anyone think of a way in Windows XP to divide a file into small files that can later be rejoined up again to form the original file? I can remember a way in MS-DOS. One example I would like to follow would be the way the America's Army game was spilt up so people with slow connections could download in parts and then later reform the original file.
