Running outta desk
Is there a way in WinXP to reduce the mouse dragging? I work at 1152x864 resolution both W98 and XP, but in XP I have to drag the mouse more than in 98. My hand starts to ache after 20 minutes using the computer, and I constantly have to raise the mouse and put it back again in the center of the pad.
TIA

Hi Nuclear Krusader,
Changing the speed can also be in your mouse utilities. For example, for my trackball, it's under "Acceleration" in the software that came with it. TwoRails |

Turn off enhanced pointer precision.
If that doesn't help, get new drivers for your mouse. |

You could always get a trackball. Then you will never have to move the mouse. I love mine.

What kind of mouse? I don't have any trouble at 1600x1200. At 2048x1536 with an Intellimouse Explorer I sometimes can't quite make it diagonally, like say from the start button to the upper right corner. I do have the acceleration turned up and you can't move it really slow.
