Angry Fire QuickTime 6.0 choppy in sound quality...why?

I have QuickTime 6.0 loaded on my HP OmniBook XE3-GC laptop, running Win2K on a P3.

Whenever I view QuickTime audio/video, it sounds very choppy, even after the entire track has already been downloaded to the cache. Any idea why? No such problems with Media Player or Real Player etc. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling QuickTime.

Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

You might check to see what else is running the background that may be conflicting. Quick Time is the one player that always seems to work well for me. I've had the Real Player stert up software mess Media Player before.
