XP PROBLEM after problem...HELP!

I had read about problems with the S/B Audigy cards, and I've tried all the fixes but windows keeps telling me that the card is not properly installed. AGGGGGHHH! IT IS damn it! I also can't find a way to load the latest drivers.

The Radeon card finally installed, managed to install the latest driver, AFTER 5 hours. I've also downloaded the latest "control panel", but HOW do get windows to accept it?

Just to make thinks really unpleasant, I am now looking at a desktop that can only use 3/4 of the screen, the taskbar is a the bottom (as should be), it's just the icons and windows.

After working at these problems for 16 hours yesterday I could really do with some help here, PLEASE.

Don't be thinking thay I'm scrathing my bum here.. I've fixed the screen problem.

I also pulled the sound card out AGAIN, nothing. Same message.

I'll go ahead and delete from my system everything Audigy.
