Problem booting Win Me (in dual boot sys. with Win XP)

Hi,

I got a little problem. I partitioned my 80 gig drive into 4 partitions (C:, D:, E:, F: ) and installed first Windows Me on the D: partition and next I installed Win XP Home on C:.
When I boot-up the system I see the boot loader which says I can select Windows XP and Windows (it's not saying Me after that). Windows XP boots perfectly but when I select Windows (Me that is) I get a blank screen and no activity what so ever.
What should I do to get Win Me running as a second OS??

Btw I followed the instructions on this site: http://tweakhomepc.virtualave.net/du.../dual9xxp.html

I tried some things but I'm not getting rid of the problem?

All help and suggestions are welcome,

PiC

Cool

Don't WINXX kernel OS's belong on C? If you loaded ME first, it should have wound up on C. But since ME is on D, I assume that you left D as FAT32 when you loaded XP.

Yeah I guess D: is still FAT32 and C: is NTFS (WinXP), I only changed C: to NTFS. Should I have done it the other way around?

Cool

No. WIN98, and ME cannot use NTFS. XP can use either NTFS or FAT32. NTFS is better at file management and security.
Chas
You can right click and select properties of each drive to verify what file system is used.

My configuration:

C: Windows XP (NTFS) (I installed this one after Win Me)
D: Windows Me (FAT32) (I installed this one first)

But is it possible to start Win Me somehow in this case and how should I do that?
