Hi kingm,

It would help if you told us which DOS program you're trying to use and a run down of your system specs (brand and model of every part in your PC and the peripherals connected such as printers, scanners, etc...).

Also, what is the exact error message wording?

Sorry for lack of info. I'm new to forum postings.

The exact error message is as I posted - I/O error 01, pc 3797.

The software is BusinessWorks version 10.0 (DOS). Computer is an Intel P3, 256 Kingston ram, ABIT VH6T motherboard, ATI expert 2000 video card, 3com 10/100 lan and USR 2976 modem and have a viewsonic 17" monitor.

I have norton anti-virus installed. I have not installed a printer or other devices as of yet.
