downloads window
In IE, when I go to download something, and you get that box that gives you the "save as" or "open from location" well, I accidently hit the checkbox that stopped the box from coming back up. How do I get it again? I went to tools -> internet options, advanced, and restored the defaults and it didn't work.

Start a download, remove the check. And that should fix it.

the box doesn't appear, the download just starts downloading..

go to tools>internet options>security tab. Hit the custom level button, then hit the reset button. Hit okay on the confirmation box. then hit default level button on the security tab. Hit okay again and exit the internet options.
Then you should be able to get that confirmation for downloads again. Also, go back and set your security settings the way you want them if you like to customize them. Notice the options in the custom level button for downloads. |
