fqpissed Help With Windows Media Player!

Im Running Windows 98 SE And When I Goto Play .AVI Files (Any .AVI File I Download Or Make) It Gives Me The Following Error.


MM SYSTEMS 296 The File Cannot Be Played On The Specified MC Device. The File May Be Corrupt, Or Not The Correct Format.

Help Me! Thanks

I had a similar error when i tried to played .avi files. I solved by goingtot he windows media player website and read what to do with certain errors.

Mine was fixed by getting the latest internet explorer version

You may need the latest DIVX Codec. Just do a google search for DIVX.
