Creative Diagnositcs

Hi. I have a Creative Audigy soundcard which works fine. Today I was looking around and came across "Creative Diagnostics", a utility that lets me check my soundcard is working ok. When I click "Diagnose" it fails at the first test. The test is "SB Audigy Detection". I don't know why it won't detect it if my sound is working fine? I tried taking the card out and replacing it but it still has the same results. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I have the correct drivers installed. I went to "update drivers" and it didn't find anything better. It wouldn't work if I had the wrong drivers right? Is there a way to check if I have XP drivers?

By a DOS program do you mean it runs in DOS? If so then no it isn't a DOS program, it runs IN windows.

go to the creative website and under your sound card look for anything that says xp drivers.

It may work with the incorrect drivers but it may limit the quality of your sound, and you may have some problems at times,go to the web site and check for the latest drivers and make sure they are for xp.I have a creative camera that works with xp but am using different drivers untill they get the correct ones for xp.It works okay but am messing out on some functionality.
