Windows ME dils

Have recently built new build with P4 1.6, Asus P4S533, 2 256 Micron memory, WD 40G HD, MSI GeForce Ti4200 video...loaded Windows Me, everything worked fine, loaded Asus PCI from disk, everything worked fine, loaded drivers from Asus, everything fine..loaded Norton Anti Virus, everything fine. Then loaded windows updates and Norton Anti virus updates and Nvidia latest driver..then started experience runonce.dil error, then other dil errors that I either have to close and hope for best or restart computer from reset button til I get a clean load. Then I can use the computer and surfs net fine til I finish..just came in and had a Nav dil error saying my screensaver "Flying Objects" caused an error and comp had shut down..Anyone had similiar problems or suggestions what's going on??? Thanks..

rebooted after each windows up date and had to download Norton three times to get all updates--seemed to really start after last Norton update downloaded..
