are there any known issues of win2k not shutting down properly ? if so are there any suppliments

I think the microsoft website has patches you can download to fix shutdown problems. Notice that there are at least two differt kinds of patches: one for networked computers and one for stand-alone PC's.

The most common reason for Win2K not shutting down is when you don't have a fully ACPI-compliant bios and APM is disabled.
