XP Activation

Hi

If I activate my new XP and sometimes have to install, on a new system maybe or my new chardrive, can I somehow just transfer XP Windows from one computer or on a new harddrive without having activated?

Does back-up help?

Your Windows XP license is for only ONE computer, unless you pay for more licenses. In the event of a crash or a new hard drve, you may reinstall and may have to call Microsoft to activate your XP.

Using XP on multiple systems without proper authorization is illegal.

You will have to activate in 30 days anyway.
