Unhappy XP decryption help

I recently had to reformat my system hd. I copied all my files to an external backup hd before I started to reformat the main drive, but I forgot to decrpyt some of the personal documents; they copied over to the backup HD fine, but now I cannot access them to recopy them back to the main hd. Further, I cannont dencrypt them using the "options/advanced" menu.

If anyone could help me figure out a way to recover these files, I'd be most appreciative.

Did you backed up your keys? If not, there won't be any way to recover those files..
