Norton Systemworks 2003 Pro

Well, I was hoping to get Norton Ghost to create an image of my HD when it's new (nicely laid out, and not screwed up by me!, etc.). Saw something else called Drive Image 2002 which interested me a bit.

But, most interesting of all I saw Norton Systemworks Pro, 2003, which looked good! And it was double the price of Norton Ghost for loads more products. But I've read that some of you have had problems with it. Do you think Norton Systemworks Pro 2003 will cause less problems? I mean, it looks great and I want to get the products included in it anyway...

Any advice? Has anyone got v2003 yet?

Although Ghost is a fine program, you cannot bea Drive Image 2002 for speed and simplicity. It has a lot of features and the menus are in plain english. This program is so easy to understand that a newbie can get the hang of it the first time through. I insist that it be installed on all the computers I build now. Then when I deliver the computer and we have the ISP settings, and any accessories installed on the computer, I have the people make a new image and then show them how to restore the image (along with a quick easy instrution sheet). Most of the time I get a call to tell me how great the program worked, instead of one telling me they have all sorts of problems.
I have included the instruction sheet I use.

I thought it might be better than Ghost! PowerQuest seem very professional, and i was in total amazed by how easy it was to use, but how the interface was also very good looking.

Also, thanks for the instuction sheet. It's very easy to follow, so i imagine i'd have no problems

Any advice on Systemworks Pro 2003 as well anyone? I actually get it SystemWorks 2003 (i don't think it comes with Ghost), and DriveImage 2002 instead because i was looking into getting NAV2003, and NU2002, but i certainly don't wanna get something that's gonna cause a headache!!!

Go to the link below and get a copy of Norton SystemWorks Pro 2002 for $8.00 and don't install Cleansweep or WinFax. Norton AV is still the best out there and Norton Utilities still has a couple of useful features. That way you get Ghost which alone cost 7 bucks and the rest, plus this comes with 1 year of free updates.

Good Company for sofeware

One more note -

Babylon, if you recently bought a motherboard, look in the package that came with it to see if it includes bundled software. Often a free version of Ghost or Drive Image is included on the disk (and sometimes separately on its own disk).
