swap file...
hi all, how does one go about checking and maybe definging my own swap file? im getting choppy sound and have tried many things such as scandisk, defrag, changing pci slot for sound card, changing irq's, tryin new drivers...etc.. anyway what i heard is that the swap file might not b big enough so its trying to do too much off memory? i dunno... anyway just wondering how to change the swap file - maybe make it bigger. im using 512 ram on a winxp system, with a 60 gig drive
thanks tazz |

Right click, my computer, then go to properties, and the advanced tab where you will see how to get at your virtual mem settings!

Make max and min. both 768. That should be just right for 512 mb of Ram. Just make sure they are both the same so the machine doesn't waste time changing swap file sizes as it needs it.
