What size is the 2nd drive and has it been thru FDISk and Format?
Also you may need a BIOS update or a Controller Card if the drive is a new model.

If you are using a 80pin ide cable then set all drives to 'cable select' if your using 40pin ide cable then set one drive to master and the other one (thats on the same cable) to slave. Is this a new drive? If it's not and it also has an OS installed on it you may run into problems, especially if they are on the same IDE channel. In the bios, if 'detect ide hdd' doesnt work then you may need to manually set the # of sectors, heads, cylenders. Try another cable if you have one too. Last, even if the drive is not seen in your bios run fdisk from a boot up floppy disk and see if you can see it that way.
