XP Sharing Wierdness

I've got an xp pro machine that I turned off simple sharing on, then shared a printer, and set it's security options to only allow administrator, and a printer user group. I have a 2000 machine that get's a prompting to access the shares, and it allows the user to enter a username and a password. then two xp pro machines, one of which gets no prompt, just a denied access to the printer, another that gets prompted but doesnt allow them to change the username from guest. Anyone know what's up?

tia,

Seth

Activate the Guest account on the XP machines. It should then work, unless you have other hardware issues.
Is this LAN using a Router or Hub?
