I accidentally deleted the sound file that plays when Win95 starts up. Now when I start my computer it gives me an error saying "sound library is not present." After clicking "OK"
everything loads normally. How can I replace the missing file or get rid of the error/alert message? I don't really want any sound to play at startup, but neither do I want that annoying alert popup! I already tried using the Control Panel/Sounds and selecting None for everything. Currently my computer is configured so that no action or program has a sound associated with it. But I still get the error at startup. Thanks for any help you can give me! |

Hi sara
how about reloading win95, using your disc it will rewrite the files that are missing but should not delete any of your personnel files. As for the sound just double click on you speaker icon in the bottom right hand of the screen and mute the sound. Doug |
