Question Win XP Upgrade from Win 98

Dear Forum-

Sometime in the near future I think I will finally make the switch to XP.

I was planning on just purchasing the Full Version because I like wiping the slate clean when I make OS changes. Then I read a post from a few months back that mentioned for Win98 users, you can perform a "full install/clean install" with the WinXP Upgrade disk. From what I gathered, it merely asks you to verify that you have a previous MS OS version disk.

Now, this sounded great because I could save some money; however, I just wanted to make sure I'm getting this right:

I can format my drive...then start the WinXP disk...which will then ask for my Win98SE disk...then after verification, it will ONLY install WinXP....not WIN98SE and then upgrade to WINXP.

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered many times and I hope you all have a great week.
