unable to completely rid of data

within the past 2 months or so I consistently have files that I have deleted and sent to the bin - and then emptied the bin return unannounced and unwanted. Then have to go through it all again but they still return. I am running Windows XP & Microsoft Office. Anyone have any answers please,

Are these files that you originally created or are these files that are automatically created by the operating system or some other software? the filenames might provide us an insight.
And are you sure that these are the same files that are returning? Have u checked the file properties and attributes for creating date & time etc?

if its files you created, then you might try selecting the file and then pressing the Left Shift and Delete to delete files without sending to the recycle bin. or you can delete it from the command line interface using the command "del filename.ext"

Think of your data as a loyal little dog. You kick him out on the street and he simply whines and returns home. jk but for real... These files are probably being generated by some program?? Please let us know what these files are, it will be of great help.
