NT safe mode - How to ??

Hi there!

Could someone help / share idea on how to boot Win NT server on safe mode? Im not sure if there is as I never do this.

Hi,

Here's how:
1. Restart your system.
2. Wait for the blue screen listing hardware and NT version (amount of RAM, number of CPU's etc.)
3. Just after this screen, you will see a black screen with two options viz.

a) NT Server Normal Mode (normally the first in the list - forgive me for this, it has been a long time since I used NT 4.0). This is the default option.

b) NT Server (VGA mode).
Option (b) is the one you want. Simply use your down arrow key to select that option and hit the "ENTER" key within the allotted time (usually 30 seconds, by default).

If you do not see this screen, go to control panel>system properties and choose for the boot menu to be displayed for a period that you can set (make it long enough for you to see the list and make your selection).
