lock-up Win95
on boot-up comp locks up half way loaded.Will boot -up all the way in safemode.Any suggestions

Hi carsoni, and welcome to the PC Mech Forums!!
 Must be some of those programs that load at startup what is crashing the machine. In the safe mode, pres WinKey+R and then type sysedit. Check the win.ini and the config.ini to see what programs are loading at start up. You can disable them by puting a ; at the beginning of the line. Check if that helps. Post back.

verything looks ok in sysedit,the computer locks up after Win95 page,at a virusscan ok page at c:\
still boots up ok in sfemode,its a Gateway2000 carsoni |

What AV program are you using?
Perhaps you may need to uninstall it in order to see if it is what is causing probs. |
