Logging into a domain in WinXP Home

Hello, I'm a student and want to be able to log into my college's network (i.e. use my name/password instead of just using the net without signing in) from my dorm. The computers in the labs use Windows 2000. The data center provides instructions on how to set your computer up to log into the network with a Win98 computer, but not with a WinXP computer...but they said they support WinXP. I have all the domain information and stuff like that, I just don't know how to put it into WinXP Home. Anyone have any ideas?

You can't login to a domain with XP Home. You have to have XP Pro.
