Lightbulb Info: Using the HPT370 RAID Controller with XP

This is a valuable piece of information for anyone using the Highpoint Technologies HPT-370 UDMA100 RAID Controller with Windows XP.

The HPT-370 RAID Controller driver supplied with WindowsXP is USELESS and will probably cause random crashes among other problems.

Downloading the correct driver from the Highpoint Technologies website will correct all your problems.

www.highpoint-tech.com

Up until I installed this driver, I found using XP with the hard drive on the HPT-370 RAID IDE connector VERY problematic.
