This guys a winner huh?. Go to windows update and see if it's listed. If not go to www.microsoft.com/download and try to find it there. If you cant, try to find someone thats a member of the MS OEM system builder program, we have access to all that stuff. When are (L)Users gonna realize that ie is intergral to the OS and shouldnt be removed.

Don't know about win 2k but on other win os ie has always been on the cd (if you have it) with the option to install it there. If not I'm sure you can find it on microsofts web site.

Can't get IE from MS without IE to get it. Windows Update won't work without IE either. Shag a copy off an AOL or some other ISP's cd or do a win2k repair, that should put 5.01 back on. It's also on some of the MS TechNet CD's if you have access to someone with a subscription.

Check in Add/Remove programs in device manager. Under Windows Componenets, it should be listed.
