Event Error 51

An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom1 during a paging operation.
This is the message I get in event vewier after burning a cd ;the device is a Plextor 24x and my other computer gets the same message with a 16x. Just wondering if anyone else has sen this message and if so what to do about it. The error does not affect system performance but bugs me. I have sent the message in to Microsoft and there does not seem to be a fix . I now have Easy Cd Creater on Pc but got the same message with Nero. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, Gary

Acouple things.

If your using XP, see if its on its capable list. (SP)
Update drives.
Read the book from the drives and see is the master slave setting is right.

Or it could be IDE data transfer problems. Try a different cable.

Firstly, get rid of EZ-CD creator if you can part with it. The thing is full of bugs, more ppl have probs with it than are actually successful.

Want proof? Here it is!

Just stick with Nero, anything you can do with EZCD you can do better with Nero alone. If you need the UDF packet writer you can try Nero's InCD.

Thanks for the replys but the Cd Rom is hooked up right and I have this same error on 2 computers and have had Nero on both as well with the same error . I have no problems with either Easy Cd Creater on Nero but thanks . SInce I have a Plextor on both computers wonder if it is something with them, Gary
