Rescuing formatting of hard drive of windows ME
I recently fixed someone's computer by reinstalling Windows ME. This reformatted their hard drive. Is there any possible way to recover the lost files from their hard drive that were wiped out from the reformating.??

You could try something like Lost and Found, but it's doubtful that anything can be recovered.

i was talking to bolsey and what he did was used the system recovery disk for a gateway comp. it gave him the option to just put the operating system back on (reinstall), and that it was he chose. is it pretty much safe to assume that everything is gone, being that he can't find it anymore. i din't know if maybe when you reinstall an os, if perhaps it just moves your stuff around ( everything was in my docs), so figured it might be worth a shot. thanks for the help
