Win ME and disk free space
This is so weird....each time i uninstall a program or a file the amont of space I have freed up on the drive is SUBTRACTED from the available space. So if I have 300 meg available and I delete a 20 meg app...i should have 320 free....but my computer shows that I have 280 free!!! This is nuts.....any ideas!

Hi bauerman,
It could be the WinME Restore Feature doing it's thing. Cricket

Have never used the restore feature and don't plan to. I doubt that is the problem. Anyone else have an idea?? I was expecting more in the way of answers here!

Hi bauerman,
You already disabled the WinME Restore Feature? If you didn't, it's still enabled and creating restore points and eating up hard drive space. Check out these links for more info... Axcel216's Max Speed WinME Tweaks Ars Technica - Disabling WinME File System Restore Try deleting everything in the Windows/Temp folder. Delete everything in the Temporary Internet Files folder too. Empty out the Recycle Bin. Run Scandisk and Defrag. Cricket

Thanks Cricket.....I have not disabled it and will go home tonight and take a look at that. I delete internet files and cookies all the time. With the amount of free space that I have available I need to disable this feature anyway. Thanks again.
