I discovered when talking with the Microsoft assistant that when I went into the "ADD/REMOVE" there were 2 different Titles which stated "Uninstall Windows ME" and another that read "Uninstall Windows ME/uninstall".The "Uninstall WindowsME/uninstall" was much further down in the scroll and because I did not scroll down far enough to see the other "Uninstall" feature I stopped at the 1st one, the "Uninstall Windows ME /uninstall".
I clicked the "Uninstall Windows ME /uninstall" which uninstalled the backup files that I had backed-up when initially installing ME, therefore I could not uninstall Windows ME from that computer.
